A comprehensive win for Friendship CC who have brushed aside the challenge posed by Ronin CC as they win their first encounter of this season with a big margin of 41 runs.
The chase never took off and even though Ronin CC did not loser a heap of wickets, just 5 at the end of 10 overs, they never got the kind of big-hitting that was needed to chase this total down.
Cheema and skipper Sinha were involved in 69-run partnership for the second wicket but both of them consumed a lot of balls and played at underwhelming strike-rates of under 200.
The bowlers were smart from Friendship CC in their execution but the game was set up by their batters in the first innings when they posted an over-par score on the board.
Quick-fire 30s from Raju Miah, Haider and Imtiaz made sure that the innings never went into a snooze mode like the Ronin CC and that eventually proved to be the point of difference in this match.
