Commentary

While one side is yet to be beaten, there's another that is yet to win a game. Right then. The dubs keep coming for the Mumbai Indians and no side has been able to stop them in this tournament so far. There's still plenty of cricket to play in this tournament, so things can change rather quickly. However, Harmanpreet Kaur and her side have more or less sealed their qualification for the playoffs. It's not all dull and gloom for the UP Warriorz though. They fought commendably but the little moments never went their way.

No surprises. Harmanpreet Kaur is the Player of the Match. Let's hear what the Mumbai Indians captan has to say: Very happy with the performance. I can't be thankful enough for the way we are playing and gelling. (Run chase) Thank god I only said 160. After 6 overs, the ball started turning in the second innings. (Batting) Thanks to Nat, she played really well. I got to spend some time in the middle because of her. (Having to chase close to 180) The way they (Healy and TMac) were batting, we thought so, but we knew if we can take some wickets, they can restricted because Harris wasn't playing. Saika's over was the turning point. She's taking the responsibility whenever we give her the ball and it's great to see. These things happen (being hit for runs). Sometimes you aren't able to bowl the way you have been. The way she is bowling, the other batters are under pressure when facing her. That's why I got her back and she got us crucial wickets. (Partnership with NSB) We were calculating very well. Sophie and Ismail were bowling well, so we were looking at other bowlers. When you have clarity and calcualte well, you can win the game from any situation. Tomorrow is another rest day before playing day after. We have to rest, make sure we keep doing the right things.

Nat Sciver-Brunt: It feels brilliant. The team is really on a high in this tournament. (Bowling) There was a little bit of seam movement on offer, so I wanted to use the inswingers. They're still good surfaces though, so I was just trying not to get hit for boundaries on the leg-side. The spinners were getting some help if they pitched it in the right areas and at the right pace. The boundaries are short so it's not easy being a bowler here. (Batting) If you could pick the lengths on this pitch, you could hit. (On her partnership with Harmanpreet) It was brilliant. I thought I should be hitting more boundaries but she just came in and hit four boundaries in an over. That just put a nail in the chase. Everyone else is batting well too. It's amazing.

Alyssa Healy (captain, UP Warriorz): We were probably 15 runs short, even 20 runs maybe. We lost wickets at crucial intervals, needed a set batter at the end. It was as scratchy as it comes for me. It wasn't easy. We didn't score as many boundaries as the Mumbai Indians did. We also bowled too much junk and gave way too many boundaries. We just have to see how we can do well with the players available. We have some bowlers on the bench and Harris as well. An lbw that is not out, is given out and Harmanpreet is bowled but the bails don't fall. Yeah, these kinds of things happen. Mumbai are a class side. We want to be a really good fielding side. She bounced back well and almost created a runout opportunity.

Comprehensive. Clinical. Commanding. Who is going to stop this Mumbai Indians side in the WPL? They've been bossing this tournament and make it four wins out of four, now defeating all the other franchises in this tournament. Simply no one has any answer to how to step this side, just yet. The Warriorz found that out the hard way, and it was even harder for them to stay in the game with fortune not on their side.

The batting unit tailed off at the backend of their innings, which meant that they were always behind the par score. Some of that was down to the absence of Grace Harris, of course. In the second innings, things didn't go their way at all, with a couple of catches going down early in the powerplay. The Warriorz stayed true to their name and kept fighting on though, before a moment of controversy in the middle.

In a bizarre review process that was reviewed for the second time, Matthews survived but couldn't make the most of it. Yastika made the most of the dropped chances to make sure she keeps one end ticking before departing. Once the two openers departed in quick succession, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Harmanpreet Kaur once again stood tall, soaking in the pressure before unleashing on the bowlers.

It was the captain that led from the front and tore apart the bowlers at will, especially taking down the spinners in the middle overs. 19 runs off the sixth over from Tahlia McGrath pretty much put the Mumbai Indian stamp of authority in the run chase before NSB finished things off in style. The juggernaut keeps rolling on. They're certainly playing like champions. Will they be the champions, some finals time? Only time will tell.
