Players to watch
Although Jozi Stars has less number of established acclaimed players they must not be mistaken for underdogs. Reeza Hendricks and Rassie van der Dussen and Australian all-rounder Dan Christian will be the key players in the batting lineup which is going to be dominated by the 'Universe Boss’, Chris Gayle. Undoubtedly the name, Chris Gayle, brings chills to the bones of bowlers in T20 cricket. The powerful, explosive batting style of Chris Gayle can cause serious damage to the scoring board as well as the morale of the opponents. Domestic Players such as Dane Vilas, Pite van Biljon, Beuran Hendricks, Dwaine Pretorius Eddie Leie and Duanne Olivier pack a lot of experience and will provide the required skeletal structure to the team.
The Trump Card
Undoubtedly, the key player of Jozi Stars is the Proteas pacer, Kagiso Rabada. He is probably one of the best in the world when it comes to fast bowling and will be the Proteas marquee player in the Jozi Stars lineup. So far it has been a dream year for the pacer who topped the ICC rankings in both Tests and ODI in January this year. In July, 23 year old Rabada, became the youngest player to take 150 Test wickets. Let's see if he can finish off the year on a high note with the Stars.
