The defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) released a few big names who were instrumental in KKR clinching their third title in IPL 2024 ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. The Knight Riders have spent their purse on 21 players in the mega auction, including three batters and wicketkeeper-batters respectively, four all-rounders, and five bowlers to defend their title in the IPL 2025 season.
