Career
Vaibhav Arora started his first-class career as a Ranji Trophy player for Himachal Pradesh in 2019, he was the leading wicket-taker for his state in his maiden Ranji season. Two years later Vaibhav made his debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy for HP and along with Pankaj Jaishwal he was again the leading wicket-taker for his team. Impressed that KKR bought him for IPL 2021 but unfortunately, he didn’t get the chance to wear the cap and also got released from the franchise. Next year he moved to Punjab Kings and played five games, PK also released him before 2023 and then Vaibhav returned to KKR, and from then he has played two consecutive seasons for the franchise.
He appeared in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2021 and impressed everyone by taking a hat trick in his debut game against Maharastra.
Domestic career
Arora made his First-Class debut for Himachal Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy in December 2019. He picked up a 6-fer in his debut bowling innings, including Cheteshwar Pujara's wicket, and followed it up with a 3-fer in the second innings. The 23-year-old now has 29 wickets in 8 multi-day games at an average of 18.58 and become the leading wicket-taker for his state of the season.
The Himachal Pradesh side handed him a T20 debut in January 2021 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Arora has played 6 games in the format and picked up 10 wickets. Even though the sample size is less, his economy rate of 7.41 is pretty good in an otherwise high-scoring tournament.
The following month, he also played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, thus making his List A debut. A 4-fer against Maharashtra including a hat-trick saw his career take the right direction early on.
IPL career
Vaibhav Arora was picked by KKR for IPL 2021 at the base price of INR 20 lakhs but he was on the bench for the entire season and the next year franchise released him from the squad.
Vaibhav Arora was signed by Punjab Kings for the 2022 IPL season at the whopping amount of INR 2 Crore, he made his IPL debut for Punjab Kings against CSK on the 3rd of April 2022. He took three wickets in five games of his maiden IPL season and again got released from the squad and moved back to KKR for the 2023 edition.
In 2023 he played five games for KKR and picked up five wickets but this time KKR trusted his abilities and backed him up for the next season. Living up to the franchise’s expectations Vaibhav contributed to the team and ended up winning the title in the 2024 season. He has picked important wickets in important games throughout the season and took 11 wickets in 10 games.

Arora hails from Haryana and is the son of a business that runs a dairy farm in Ambala. He has pursued a dual degree (BA + BEd) from Chandigarh University. He represented the University as well.
