With Heinrich Klaasen running away with the game, Rana was given the task of bowling the most crucial last over with 13 runs in hand to defend. He dismissed Shahbaz Ahmed and Klaasen within no time with his variation as the Knight Riders won a thriller by 4 runs and obtained a hero in Rana.

However, was at the receiving end when he was handed a one-match ban for gesturing a flying kiss celebration after dismissing Abhishek Porel and was penalized with 100% of his match fee as well for breaching IPL’s code of conduct.

Harshit Rana International Career

With a new-look squad assembled for India’s tour of Zimbabwe in July 2024 after the senior members were rested for sweating it out in the T20 World Cup 2024, Harshit Rana was expected to make a cut for the squad after his tremendous performance with the ball in IPL 2024.

After failing to make it to the initial squad, Rana was later called upon along with batter Sai Sudharsan and wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma after Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube were left stranded in the Caribbean owing to a hurricane.

With a maiden India call-up on his sleeve, Rana would be aiming to debut sooner rather than later and would be living his dream of playing in Indian colors.
