Bryson DeChambeau (full name: Bryson James Aldrich DeChambeau) is a pro-level golf player from the United States. The LIV Golf League player formerly was part of the PGA Tour where he twice won the major championships (2020 & 2024). DeChambeau won the NCAA Division I championship and the U.S. Amateur title in 2015, became only the fifth player to achieve the feat. Following his U.S. Open win in 2020, "The Scientist" became the third player to clinch all three titles after Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

According to a report by NBC, Bryson DeChambeau's father, John, witnessed many of the achievements of his son, including his eight PGA Tour wins. He was diagnosed with diabetes in the mid-1990s and faced severe health challenges, including kidney failure by 2014. In March 2017, John got a kidney transplant from a high school golf teammate named Ron Bankofier who reconnected during Bryson's 2015 U.S. Amateur victory. Despite his condition, Jon went to Bryson's Masters debut in April 2016, navigating Augusta National in a motorized wheelchair while going through hemodialysis between rounds. John DeChambeau passed away at the age of 63 in 2017, as reported by NBC Sports.com. Bryson shared an emotional post on X, stating, "Love you Dad. Im sad to see you go but you've been through way too much pain in this life..."

Bryson shared gratitude for his mother's sacrifices to help him in his career via a post on Instagram dedicated to Janet Louise Druffel on Mother's Day in 2021. Bryson mentioned his mother as a "saint" after watching his mother take care of his father.
