8:10 pm local time (8:10 pm IST): This was a thrilling game in the end on a pretty good Chinnaswamy wicket! And Uttar Pradesh managed to hold on to their nerves, reaching the finish line! The quarter-final line-up is set and we will have two games at this very venue the day after tomorrow. The coverage of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy continues here on Sportskeeda, so be there to join us for the future games, friends! This is the pair of Arya and Bidipto taking your leave for now.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Uttar Pradesh captain): We got a bit lucky towards the end after being in a spot of bother, but the start we go with the bat was tremendous! But what matters is the win and we are into the next round. We are playing good cricket, but yes, there are areas to improve on as far as I am concerned and we will work on those before the quarter-final.
Vipraj Nigam (Player of the Match, 2/20 off 4 overs and 27* off 8 balls): The idea was to make life easier for Rinku bhai at the other end. So, I went for the big shots and they got connected really well! The wicket was a good one on the whole. It's special to win a knockout match like this and for me to stay there and get it done!
Ricky Bhui (Andhra Pradesh captain): Definitely they really played well. The quality was seen. Their bowling was much better. Our powerplay score could have been much better. Yes I think in batting we should have applied ourselves better. The main batters should have added atleast 20 more. Slightly the wicket got better. The seam movement was reduced in the second innings.
8:02 pm local time (8:02 pm IST):
Uttar Pradesh win by 4 wickets with 6 balls to spare and qualify for the Quarter-finals!
Uttar Pradesh were off and running with over 50 runs on the board in the power play for the loss of no wicket! Karan Sharma was going great guns and Aryan Juyal was supporting him well.
Suddenly, as the fielding restrictions got lifted, Andhra started to come back in the contest. Both opening batters went in the same over and there was regular fall of wickets from then.
Kodavandla Sudharsan and Tripurana Vijay both stemmed the flow of runs and picked up important wickets. Some big names in the UP batting line-up failed to score big and the pressure of the scoreboard told on the batters at the crease.
But, out of nowhere, the 7th wicket partnership between Rinku Singh and Vipraj Sharma ensured the match ended an over before stipulated close and with a stupendous 43-run blitzkrieg off just 10 balls!
Andhra's fielding and overall discipline left a lot to be desired, but they kept hanging in there to take the match deep. However, KV Sasikanth's third over, the 17th of the innings, went for as many as 22 runs and changed the complexion of the match!

18.6 Cheepurapalli Stephen to Rinku Singh, Uttar Pradesh win by 4 wickets and goes through to the quarter final. Rinku comes down the track and jams away the low full toss down towards the long-on region. What an incredible partnership between Vipraj and Rinku which sees Uttar Pradesh over the finish line.
Scores are level.
18.5 Cheepurapalli Stephen to Vipraj Nigam, on a fuller-length around middle, worked away towards the midwicket region for a single.
