That's all we have from this game as I, Lavil Saldanha along with my colleague, Arya, take your leave. Do check Sportskeeda for the latest sports news and switch tabs to follow the latest cricketing action. We hope to see you sometime soon. Until then, it is good bye from our side. SEE YA!
Rovman Powell (Barbados Royals captain): It was an excellent feeling, when we started I felt we were a bit slow but then in the end, they might have scored 10-15 runs less. I expected this kind of an innings from Cornwall but not the longevity of it. I thought he would play a quick 60 runs and then I'll take it from there on. We didn't bowl well and didn't stick to our plans. I thought there was some turn and used Cornwall and expected the total to get towards 210 runs odd.
Sherfane Rutherford (SKNP captain): We played on a good wicket, I was disappointed when I dropped Rakheem in the innings and then we didn't stick to our plans. 220 should have been enough and we know that catches win matches. If you don't dismiss Cornwall early, he is going to take the game away from you. We have got to stay positive and together, we do not have much to lose and will give our everything in the last few games
Rakheem Cornwall (Player of the Match): I was batting well. The pitch was really good. Today is my son's birthday. I dedicate this century to my two sons who have always backed me. I always back myself to give my team a good start. We have given the crowd something to cheer about. Once I passed the half stage I go big so that was the moment. I would thank my family and fans for their support.
What a chase we have witnessed! This has been an excellent game so far. You've got to feel for the SKNP team and their supporters as they scored a mammoth total but their bowling has let them down.
The chase started with Rakheem Cornwall and Kyle Mayer going gung ho, with the realisation that this was a must-win game for them. Kyle Mayers was dismissed cheaply, but that doesn't deter the man of the moment, Rakheem Cornwall.
He smashed the ball as clean as a whistle stitching excellent partnerships with Laurie Evans and Rovman Powell and in the process, notching up his maiden T20 100. He retired hurt and from there on, it was Powell and young Alick Athanaze who hit the winning runs as they won the game comprehensively and also knocked out St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots out of this year's CPL.
In all honesty, it was the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots game to lose and they gave it away due to some poor bowling. Dominic Drakes and Corbin Bosch were the only two bowlers to pick up a wicket each. All the other bowlers were carted away as the batters only dealt in boundaries. They will be playing for pride in their last two games and will be looking to bow out of the tournament with a win.
18.1 Dominic Drakes to Alick Athanaze, FOUR! That's the game for the Barbados Royals. What an emphatic performance. Back of a length delivery a shade outside off, Athanaze stands tall and punches it away past the backward point fielder and it generates speed and goes away to the fence.
18.1 Dominic Drakes to Alick Athanaze, short of a length delivery angling down leg, Athanaze tried to play it away towards short fine, doesn't make contact. Called a wide.
Barbados Royals need only 3 runs to win in 12 deliveries now. To trump Tallahwah's NRR they had to finish this game earlier but it couldn't happen. They will hope to finish it off at the first opportunity they get in the next over

17.6 Benny Howell to Alick Athanaze, slower good-length delivery around the middle stump, Ahanaze waits for it and turns it away with soft hands towards the square leg region and will keep for the next over.
