Kyle Rico Mayers, a Barbadian cricketer, was born on September 8, 1992. He competes in all formats of international cricket for the West Indies cricket team. He represented West Indies in the 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. On his Test debut in February 2021, Mayers scored 210 runs not out. He has played for Barbados Royals, Saint Lucia Kings, West Indies A, Warwickshire, and the West Indies U19. He plays for the Lucknow Super Giants on IPL.
Kyle Mayers Domestic Career
He played for Barbados in the Regional Super50 tournament for 2019–20. He went to Ft Lauderdale, Florida in November 2019 to play in the US Open. Along with other international players such as Kjorn Ottley, Ian Cockbain, Max Waller, Delray Rawlins, Alex Blake, Elmore Hutchinson, Ravi Timbawala, Timil Patel, Japen Patel, and many more, he played for the Paramveer Tigers. Mayers achieved his first-class cricket century on the first day of the 2019–20 West Indies Championship in January 2020.

The Lucknow Super Giants signed Mayers in February 2022 during the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction.
On the 1st of April 2023, Mayers made his IPL debut for the Lucknow Super Giants against the Delhi Capitals. He scored 73 off 38 balls and bowled one over.

Mayers made it in the West Indies squads for the Test and One Day International (ODI) series against Bangladesh in December 2020. On 20 January 2021, he played his first-ever ODI match for the West Indies against Bangladesh.
Mayers recorded his first century in ODI cricket on the 4th of June in 2022 when he scored 120 runs in the third and final game of the series against the Netherlands. He later scored 105 against New Zealand for his second ODI century.

Mayers was included in the West Indies' Test squad as one of eleven reserve players for their series against England in June 2020.
Mayers was included in the West Indies' ODI and Test teams for their series against Bangladesh in December 2020.
On February 3, 2021, he made his West Indies Test debut against Bangladesh. Mayers became the 14th West Indies batsman to record a century on his Test cricket debut when he struck a century on his debut. He became the sixth batsman to hit a double century in his Test debut when he concluded his innings at 210 not out. He also led the West Indies to a successful chase of 395, the fifth-highest total in Test history. Mayers received his debut red ball contract from the West Indies Cricket board in May 2021.
In the second innings of the third test of England's tour to the West Indies on the 27th of March in 2022, Mayers claimed his maiden five-wicket haul against England in St. George's. He ended with figures of five for eighteen and seven wickets in the match.
He recently played a Test match at the DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, against South Africa,on 20 March 2023, and scored 29 runs off 83 balls.

Mayers was added to the Barbados Tridents squad in July 2020 in preparation for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League. Mayers was further included in the West Indies' T20 International (T20I) squad for their October 2020 series against New Zealand.
