So, that will be all from the final match of the day in Dehradun. Right now, you can switch tabs and catch all the action in Delhi between Australia and the Netherlands in the ongoing World Cup match. This is the pair of Pradeep and Bidipto taking your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda!
Rajat Patidar is the Player of the match! Here's what he has to say: Feeling very good, after two I've been able to play this knock and wanted to play as straight as possible on this wicket. Initially the first two games, I didn't get to spend much time in the middle and spoke to the coach, he said, as long as the time spent in the middle, will help. (About the injury) It was a tough time then, there is no point in thinking about and wanted to live in the present. Trying to understand my game as much as possible, it'll only help me to get better.
Madhya Pradesh win by 7 wickets with 8 balls to spare!
Tamil Nadu needed to apply pressure both with the ball and in the field right through the innings. That did not happen. Madhya Pradesh would not find it easy against the slower ball after the power play. Well, they did not but managed things really well by way of some quality batting. In the end, they made what could have been a tricky chase, into a really easy one!
Ajay Rohera and captain Shubham Sharma gave Madhya Pradesh a tremendous start with 47 runs in the power play. In fact, the first wicket fell off the final delivery of the power play, which meant that they ensured there were no early hiccups.
Then came the Rajat Patidar show! He took a bit of time to get his eye in, got put down by Sai Kishore off his own bowling but capitalized on all that to bring up a bright half-century but more importantly, a matured one! The ease and the finesse with which he played some of those shots on both sides of the wicket were just brilliant!
Venkatesh Iyer and Rishabh Chouhan made sure that they got the job done well enough and well in time. This will not be enough to take them to the next round but getting a win like this against a top side always comes in handy!
Tamil Nadu's bowling, fielding, their body language and their tactics were not quite up to mark we're afraid. When that happens defending a relatively low score, defeat is what you suffer. Now, their road to the next round is very much closed.
18.4 Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore to Rishabh Chouhan, FOUR! THAT IS THAT! Rishabh finishes the game in style, much needed win for Madhya Pradesh after string of losses and this has been nothing but clinical throughout. Skips down the track, Rishabh this time gets more bat on it and whacked it to cow corner, splits the two fielders in the deep to seal the game!
18.3 Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore to Rishabh Chouhan, fires the length delivery on the off-stump, Rishabh punched it back to the bowler.
18.2 Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore to Rishabh Chouhan, uses the feet once again, Rishabh whips the length delivery down to fine-leg, they scamper back for the brace. Just 3 needed now!
18.1 Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore to Rishabh Chouhan, OH! Slides the length delivery on the middle and leg, Rishabh steps down the track for the hoick, but gets the inside edge on to the pad.
Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore [3.0-0-25-2] comes back into the attack.
A six will do for Madhya Pradesh now. They need to try and finish it off quickly because that will have an effect on the net run rate. But the win is very much guaranteed here! They have reached their 150.
