About New England Patriots
One of the most successful NFL teams in the history of the NFL are the New England Patriots. The team, once known as the Boston Patriots, wasn't successful in the NFL playoffs until the 2000s. The Patriots have gone on to become the most successful club in the NFL Super Bowl since their first victory in the Super Bowl in 2002. The Patriots compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference East division. The Patriots play their home games at Gillette Stadium, Foxborough.
The Patriots have appeared in the Super Bowl 11 times, the most by any team, and have even won the Super Bowl 6 times. Former head coach Bill Belichick and the legendary quarterback Tom Brady formed the most successful partnership for the Greater Boston club and managed to reach 9 Super Bowls and won 6 of them, since they joined in 2000. The Patriots would hold virtually all of the significant Super Bowlrecords during the Brady-Belichick period, which is recognised as one of the greatest sports dynasties.
Additional NFL records held by the team include the most playoff victories (37), the most victories over a ten-year span (126 from 2003 to 2012), the longest winning streak in both regular season and playoff games (21 from October 2003 to October 2004), the most winning seasons in a row (19 from 2001 to 2019), the most consecutive conference championship appearances (8 from 2011 to 2018), the most consecutive division titles (11 from 2009 to 2019), and the only undefeated 16-game regular season (2007).
