Kagiso Rabada is a right-arm fast bowler, who plays for South Africa at the International level and Punjab Kings in the IPL. Rabada was first picked by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2017 IPL, where he played 6 matches for the franchise and also took 6 wickets. Since then, he has only played for Delhi till the 2021 IPL. One of the best pacers of the current era, South Africa's right-arm fast-bowler Kagiso Rabada has been a constant in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since he made his debut back in 2017. Rabada was picked by the then Delhi Daredevils (Capitals) for INR 5 Crores during the 2017 auction. However, he played just 6 games in his debut season and missed out on the next one due to an injury.He returned in 2019 and proceeded to spearhead the Capitals' attack by claiming 25 wickets in just 12 games.In 2020, Rabada went one step ahead, claiming a staggering 30 wickets in 17 games to win the 'Purple Cap' as Delhi made its way to the finals for the first time in IPL history.During the course of this incredible run, Rabada also went 25 innings on the bounce with at least one wicket/game- an all-time IPL record.Rabada endured a poor season in 2021 as he managed just 15 wickets in as many matches at an economy of 8.14 runs per over. He was released by the Capitals ahead of the mega auction, where Punjab Kings claimed his services for INR 9.25 Crores.Rabada had a decent outing in his maiden season for PBKS as he claimed 23 wickets in 13 innings at an economy of 8.46 runs per over.In the 2023 IPL edition, Rabada played only 6 matches for Punjab Kings. He took 7 wickets in his 6 matches at an expensive economy rate of 10.09 runs per over. He will be seen playing for the same franchise (Punjab Kings) in the 2024 IPL.

The South African pacer was bought by the then Delhi Capitals for INR 5 Crores ahead of the 2017 season. He was regained by the Delhi franchise for INR 4.2 Crores in the 2018 mega-auction. However, the Proteas pacer missed the 2018 edition due to an injury.Rabada returned in 2019, and throughout the next three seasons, he became the lynchpin of the Capitals' attack, alongside his compatriot, Anrich Nortje.He was eventually released by DC ahead of the 2022 mega-auction, but the right-arm pacer found a new home in the form of Punjab Kings in the auction, with the Preity Zinta-led franchise shelling out INR 9.25 Crores for his services.
