The Bloodline vs Roman Reigns and The Usos

Since WrestleMania XL, The Bloodline has been witnessing major changes. After Roman Reigns went on a hiatus, Solo Sikoa became the leader and kicked Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman out of the group while bringing in Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. Reigns made his return at SummerSlam and was joined by a returning Jimmy Uso at Bad Blood 2024. A few weeks later, after The Bloodline cost Jey Uso his Intercontinental Title, Uso joined his brothers against Sikoa. The tensions between the two groups were then going to spill over at Crown Jewel. At the event, Sami Zayn entered on behalf of The Usos but mistakenly attacked Reigns. Eventually, Sikoa pinned Reigns to win the match.

Fatal-Four Way Tag Team Match for WWE Women's Tag Team Championship

After weeks of escalating tensions between various women's tag teams across Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, the general managers of all three brands—Adam Pearce, Nick Aldis, and Ava—decided to settle the matter in a fatal four-way match at Crown Jewel. The reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, will defend their titles against three top contenders: Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane) from Raw, Chelsea Green, and Piper Niven from SmackDown, and The Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson) from NXT. The champions managed to retain their gold at the event.

Seth 'Freakin' Rollins vs Bronson Reed

On the RAW after SummerSlam, Bronson Reed made his return to WWE, and out of the blue, chose Seth Rollins as his opponent. He ambushed The Visionary and gave him six thunderous Tsunamis, which forced Rollins out of the action for about two months. Reed was competing against Braun Strowman at RAW in a Last Man Standing match when Rollins finally made his WWE return and stomped him to steel steps. The feud between the two escalated and they demanded a match against each other, which Adam Pearce officiated for Crown Jewel. Rollins defeated Reed at the event.

WWE Women's Crown Jewel Women Championship - Nia Jax vs Liv Morgan

Just like the Crown Jewel Championship, WWE also introduced a title for the female roster. Here, The Women's World Champion and the WWE Women's Champion will compete for the Women's Crown Jewel Championship. At WWE Crown Jewel 2024, Nia Jax and Liv Morgan will compete for the WWE Women's Crown Jewel Championship, as they are the WWE Women's Championship and the Women's World Championship respectively. With the help of other Judgment Day members, Morgan was able to become the inaugural WWE Women's Crown Jewel Champion.

Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens, who had a long-standing rivalry with Roman Reigns and his Bloodline, unexpectedly turned heel after attacking Cody Rhodes backstage at Bad Blood. This was a result of Owens' resentment towards Rhodes for teaming up with Reigns. Randy Orton attempted to intervene but was also attacked by Owens, who seemed to believe Orton had chosen Rhodes over him. Orton's request for a match against Owens was initially denied by WWE management. However, after a confrontation with WWE COO Triple H, a match between Orton and Owens was officially scheduled for Crown Jewel. Before the match even started, it turned into an all-out brawl which ended with Orton being carried on a stretcher. The match was ruled a no-contest.

United States Championship Triple Threat Match- LA Knight vs Andrade vs Carmelo

Andrade and Carmelo Hayes had been engaged in a heated rivalry since July, with their Best of Seven Series evenly matched at three wins apiece. During this period, LA Knight successfully defended his United States Championship against both contenders. A seventh and decisive match was scheduled to determine the final challenger for Knight's title. However, the match ended in chaos when Knight attacked both Andrade and Hayes, leading to a no-contest. In response, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced a triple threat match between Knight, Andrade, and Hayes for the United States Championship at Crown Jewel. Knight managed to retain his title at the event.

WWE Crown Jewel Men Championship - Cody Rhodes vs Gunther

At Bad Blood 2024, Triple H announced two new championships, one for males and one for females. It is not a traditional title that will be defended. The title falls more in line with achievements such as Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank. Every year, the WWE Champion and the World Heavyweight Champion will take on each other and the winner of the two will be crowned the Crown Jewel Champion. Cody Rhodes and Gunther took on each other as they are the WWE Champion and the World Heavyweight Champion respectively. Rhodes won the match fair and square to win the Crown Jewel ring.

WWE Crown Jewel History

It was in 2018 when WWE entered into a long-term relationship with the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Support in Saudi Vision 2030. The first event was held by the name The Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018. However, the PPV was held only one time. The next event in Saudi was held on November 2, 2018, by the name Crown Jewel and has been held on the spot since then. The first-ever Crown Jewel saw a WWE World Cup tournament and a tag team match between D-Generation X and The Brothers of Destruction.

The Crown Jewel returned in 2019, becoming the first Saudi PPV to take place twice. It always takes place in early November. WWE couldn't visit Saudi in November 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and thus, the event did not take place that year. It returned in 2021, followed by 2022. While all Crown Jewel events have been held in Riyadh, the first four events were all held in different Stadiums. They took place in King Saud Stadium, King Fahd Stadium, Mohammad Abdo Stadium, and Mrsool Park. The fifth edition, i.e., the 2023 edition marked the event's return to Mohammad Abdo Stadium and took place on November 4, 2023. The arena was the home to the event in the 2024 event as well.
