The PGA Championship is held annually by the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) of America. It is one of the four prestigious golf majors, placed second in the chronology, following the Masters Tournament and preceding the U.S. Open. The event was established in 1916. 2024's PGA Championship is the 106th edition of the historical event, which will take place from May 13 to 19, in a 72-hole stroke play format at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. The event was won by Xander Schauffele over Bryson DeChambeau by a margin of one shot, for a score of 263, under 21.

PGA Championship 2024 Schedule

Practice rounds for the 2024 PGA Championship are scheduled for May 13–15. The first round of play will begin on May 16 at 6:45 AM and end at 8:30 PM, followed by the second round on May 17 at the same time.

The third and fourth rounds of play, on May 18 and May 19, respectively, will start and end at 7:15 AM and 8:00 PM. Following the event, the Wanamaker Trophy will be presented to the champion of the event.

PGA Championship 2024 Course Details

The Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, will host the 2024 PGA Championship. The 486-acre course, situated in Louisville's eastern area, was founded in 1981 by local business magnate Dwight Gahm and his three sons. The course has a length of 7,458 yards, a 148 slope rating, and a 78.4 course rating. The renowned Jack Niklaus created it, and it became accessible to the public in 1986.

The club has hosted the PGA Championship in 1996, 2000, and 2014. This will be its fourth time hosting the event. The 2004 and 2011 Senior PGA Championships, as well as the 2008 Ryder Cup, were also held at the club.
