American professional golfer Wyndham Clark won the U.S. Open in 2023. Through the Web.com Tour (now the Korn Ferry Tour), he became a professional in 2017 and became a member of the PGA in 2018. After peaking at No. 3 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) in April 2024, Clark is ranked No. 10 as of April 2025. He also has three professional wins, the first of which was the Wells Fargo Championship in 2023.

Clark was born in Denver, Colorado, on December 9, 1993. He attended Valor Christian High School in Colorado, where he won the Colorado State Championships in 2009 and 2011. Clark began playing college golf at Oklahoma State University before transferring to the University of Oregon in 2016. He also earned a business administration degree upon graduation and won the 2017 Pac-12 Championship.

Wyndham Clark's Mother

Wyndham Clark's mother is Lise Thenevet Clark. Before starting her Mary Kay career in 1984, she worked in marketing and advertising. She rose to the position of Independent Sales Director within two years of joining Mary Kay, and in 2002, she was promoted to Independent National Sales Director. However, in 2013, Wyndham Clark's mother, Lisa Thevenet Clark, passed away following a fight with breast cancer at the age of 55. Clark's obituary states that she represented her state in the Miss USA pageant in 1981 after winning the title of Miss New Mexico USA (via Heavy.com).

In 2019, Clark posted on Instagram on Mother's Day:

“I miss this amazing woman and mother. I wish every mother out there a happy Mother’s Day and urge people to never take their mothers for granted because you never know how long you have with them. Love you Mommy.”

Wyndham Clark's Father

Wyndham Clark's father is Randall Clark. Previously a professional tennis player, Randall became a real estate agent due to athletic injuries. Clark claimed that his father sparked his passion for golf. When Clark was younger, Randall used to play golf with him and helped him get better.

Clark told reporters during the U.S. Open (via Heavy.com):

“My mom first took me to play golf but my dad was the one who really got me into golf. He picked it up just a few years prior to me starting at the age of 3. Every time I’d go golf at a young age was with my dad. There’s so many memories of us leaving at 6 a.m., our family on like a family vacation, and we’d play golf and come back before noon and that was the only way my mom would let us do that. There’s a ton of memories. And then he took me to tournaments."

Wyndham Clark's Siblings

Wyndham Clark has a brother named Brendan Clark and a sister named Kaitlin Clark. Brendan is four years younger than Wyndham, and Kaitlin is three years older, as per their mother's obituary. Also, Mile High Sports reports that Brendan resides in Kansas City, while Kaitlin resides in Portland, Oregon (via Heavy.com).
