(On the batting approach of his team) Tim Seifert and Shakib Al Hasan have shown how to operate in the middle with the bat, having played such a lot of cricket around the world. This is something that the young players need to learn from. (On bringing in Richard Ngarava today and him making an instant impact) It is great to have bowlers like Richard Ngarava at our disposal, but, we want to pick the best team possible according to the conditions.

Wanindu Hasaranga [B-Love Kandy captain]: We haven't played our best cricket in the tournament yet, we should go back to drawing board and see what went wrong. All the three departments we failed to do well in both the games, lost crucial wickets inside the powerplay is always a problem. No pressure, at the moment we have nothing to lose and one good come back is all we need.

181 was always going to be hard to get to, but, the batting effort from Kandy, whether from, the youngsters or from the experienced players, was far from good. And so, there is absolutely no need to be surprised by them unable to reach even three figures before getting bowled out.

On the other end of the spectrum, a spectacular start with pace on from Kasun Rajitha and Richard Ngarava got well backed up by Lahiru Samarakoon. Then came the spinners and everything turned further south for the Kandy batters. The wile and guile of Tabraiz Shamsi, Shakib Al Hasan and Akila Dananjaya was just too much to handle!

Skipper Dasun Shanaka, who bowled brilliantly yesterday to prize out three key wickets, did not have to bring himself on to bowl today. The only slip-up from Galle can be said to be the misfields and the drop catches that should not have been, given the standards this team generally sets.
