Mohammad Hasnain ODI Career

Mohammad Hasnain made his international debut against Australia on 23 March 2019. In the first two matches of the Australia series, Hasnain was wicketless and had a high economy rate. Finally, in the third match, his first ODI wicket came in the form of Aaron Finch. Then, his next series was against the English team in May 2019. Hasnain played a couple of matches in England and managed to take a total of three wickets. He was struggling to bowl economical overs, having an economy rate of just above 8. In 2020, Hasnain played only one match which was against Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Hasnain bowled brilliantly in the match, claiming his first and only five-wicket haul for 26 runs. After this, Hasnain’s last series was against the Proteas in 2021. He played two matches in South Africa, in which he picked up one wicket in each match.

Mohammad Hasnain T20I Career

Mohammad Hasnain made his T20I debut against England on 5 June 2019. In the first match, Hasnain failed to dismiss any batter. His first T20I wicket came against Sri Lanka, in the second match of his career. In January 2020, Hasnain went up against Bangladesh for a couple of matches. Hasnain’s bowling in the first match struggled, with him going for 9 runs an over and remaining wicketless.

The performance in the second match was far better. He took two wickets and gave away only 20 runs in his four overs. Later in November, Hasnain was selected in the Pakistan squad for a home series against Zimbabwe. In the three matches, Hasnain had an impressive economy rate of 7.25 runs an over, and had also picked up two wickets.

Hasnain played a couple of matches against New Zealand and South Africa before playing another three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. This time, he bested his previous performance, taking five wickets with an economy rate of 7 runs an over. Next, he was taken to England for a T20I series. The right-arm fast bowler featured in two T20Is against the English team.

In the first match, Hasnain had a decent bowling figure of one wicket for 28 runs, and in the second one he even took three wickets but was hit for 51 runs in his four overs. In the 2022 Asia Cup, Hasnain was included in the Pakistani squad as a replacement for an injured Shaheen Afridi. Hasnain bowled expensive overs in the four matches and only took four wickets. His next series was against England in Pakistan.

The first match went poorly for him as he was hit for 51 runs in four overs and could not dismiss any batter. In the next three matches against the English team, Hasnain picked up a total of four wickets and had an economy rate of 9. Hasnain’s last T20I match was against Bangladesh in New Zealand.
