We are in Chennai and it's a same pitch that was used in Game 1. It's pitch number 7. Everyone felt batting second would be easy in the first match but it worked opposite. The change of pace on a good length worked wonders and the have do the same. There were few cracks in the first game but they did some repaired work, so the ball will come onto the bat nicely

Well, that's that then. South Africa hold on to their 1-0 lead in this series and will have a chance to seal it in the third and final game on Tuesday. It's been a tour of learnings for them and they'll be itching to end it on a winning note, especially in the shortest format in it's T20 World Cup year. For now, both sides share the spoils because of the rain. That's all that we have from this game as well. This is Pratyush Rohra, signing off on behalf of my partner, Pragadeesh. Goodnight!
10:08 PM IST: The game has been called off. Visuals from the ground show that the umpires have shaken hands with the captains. There was a decent crowd in for this contest and they'll be disappointed with this outcome, especially considering the kind of mild rain that has caused this inevitable outcome. South Africa stay in the lead in this series. Stick around to know what the captains think about this game.
10:02 PM IST: Still no positive updates from ground zero. We're around 15 minutes away from the cut-off time.
9:47 PM IST: The steady rain is back and time is running out. The ground staff were out in the middle with the Super Soppers while there was a light drizzle. With the rain back, all that effort went in vain.
9:33 PM IST: Back down to a light drizzle. The umpires are out in the middle to inspect the conditions. The cut-off time for the five-over contest is 10.13 PM IST.
9:22 PM IST: The big covers are coming on now. The drizzle has got a little heavier and the squares are being covered. Not great signs for the spectators. We have started to lose overs
9:14 PM IST - Chennai is not known for rains but things are quite different tonight. The drizzle has gotten heavier and more covers are coming on now. As things stand in the middle, we should be in for a big delay
9:03 PM IST: Ooops. The umbrellas are out with the brollies out. There seems to be a mizzle of rain, nothing too intense at the moment. The hessian cover is on the pitch.
Anneke Bosch - It was difficult and more difficult for me. I thought if I stay until 18, we might get a good total. I think we are happy with the score, but still got a job to do with the ball. After the start we got at the powerplay, we thought we can match the score that we got last game or get ahead but the ball got softer and was difficult to time it
South Africa post 177-6. India will need 178 runs to win.
South Africa will be delighted with that finish, getting some momentum on their side with those boundaries towards the end. They managed to get 31 runs off the last two overs and have posted a really good total on the board. It was the top order that set things up in the powerplay for them.
Wolvaardt set the tone up front but she couldn't make a big score of it. Brits made sure that she didn't miss out though, scoring her second half-century in as many games, after being given a lifeline early on in the contest. Kapp also made her presence felt in the middle, however, India managed to pull things back superbly in the middle innings.
Deepti Sharma and Shreyanka Patil did the job for them, chipping away with wickets and keeping a lid on the scoring rate. It was Brits that kept things going in that phase for South Africa but they really slipped into a muddle when she was dismissed. Things looked a bit bleak for them at that moment but South Africa's lower order managed to power them to a solid total.
India are 1-0 down in the series and haven't found themselves in this position during this series. Will they respond and level the series or will the visitors clinch it? Stick around to find out.
