Manishankar Murasingh ,Tripura Captain- We did have a good preparation prior to the season. We will look to take the lessons from these tournament and carry it into the remaining tournaments. We keep making our plans according to our opponents. We will need to perform as an unit. Will try to replicate the heroics of the previous season and do well in Vijay Hazare and Ranji Trophy.
Tripura 156 all out in 18.1 overs Manishankar Murasingh 56(33) | Praveen Dubey 3/33 Bikramkumar Das 38(23) | Vyshak Vijay Kumar 2/29
Right so, Tripura did make quite a match of it for a while but they've succumbed to a big defeat in the end. They however did manage to get past the 111 mark thereby knocking off Karnataka from the tournament and ensuring a safe passage in the semifinals for the Uttar Pradesh side. It has been a big win for Karnataka by 68 runs in the end but it will feel bitter sweet for them as they won't be playing any further part in the competition.
Bikramkumar Das started off with a bang for the Tripura side as he took full toll of the powerplay overs. He attacked the seamers and found the gaps with ease, playing some eye catching shots enroute his 38. He did get good support from skipper Murasingh, who top scored with a well crafted 56, but there was hardly anything from the rest of the batting. Once Das was gone, Murasingh ran out of partners and the wickets fell in heap. In the end they folded out for a paltry 156 although they did keep Karnataka on tenterhooks till the time they had their skipper in the middle.
The Karnataka bowlers struggled early on but they did come back well in the midde overs. Praveen Dubey was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up three wickets. Vyshak Vijay Kumar also chipped in with a couple of wickets as did Prasidh Krishna. The likes of Gowtham and Kaverappa also got a few.

18.1 Vyshak Vijay Kumar to Abhijit Sarkar, GONE! That's the match for Karnataka! It was a back of a length delivery and Sarkar tried to play the big shot. He didn't get any timing on it and holed out to the fielder in the deep. Tripura have been bowled out for 156 in 18.1 overs.
