Paul Michael Levesque is an American professional wrestler and actor best known for his work with WWE/F as Triple H. He is a former 14-time World Champion and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of DX. He currently serves as the EVP of Talent Relations of WWE.
Personal Life
Paul Levesque aka Triple H was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on 27th July, 1969. Paul went to Nashua South High School. He played Basketball and Baseball. After graduating in 1987, he competed in various body-building competitions.
Paul got married to Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of Vince McMahon on 25th October, 2003. They have three children named Vaughn, Aurora and Murphy.
Professional Wrestling Career
Early Years (1990-1995)
In 1990, Levesque began training for his professional wrestling career. In 1992, he made his debut and began wrestling on the independent circuit. Later, Levesque signed a contract with WCW, where he spent a year with the company before moving to WWF in 1995.
Early Years and Attitude Era (1995-2002)
In his early years, he portrayed a modified version of his previous character from WCW. After the Curtain Call incident, Levesque did not win the 1996 King of the Ring as planned. Instead, Stone Cold was given the win. Later, he won the Intercontinental Championship from Marc Mero. After WrestleMania XIII, Chyna began assisting Triple H during his matches.
In 1997, he won the King of the Ring tournament. Later, he formed DX alongside Chyna and Shawn Michaels. After WrestleMania XIV, Triple H added X-Pac and The New Age Outlaws after Michael's first retirement. One of DX's major rivals was The Nation of Domination, which they feuded over the summer. At SummerSlam, Triple H defeated The Rock to win the Intercontinental Championship.
After WrestleMania XV, Triple joined The Corporation and tuned on DX. At SummerSlam, Foley defeated Triple H and Stone Cold for the WWF Championship. However, Triple H won his first WWF Championship on the night after SummerSlam. Over the next few months, Triple H won the WWF Championship on two more occasions.
In 2000, Triple H was in a long-term storyline with the McMahons. Triple H won a handful of World Championships during the Attitude Era and solidified himself as a heel. During the Attitude Era, Triple H faced several top-tier and main event stars such as Kurt Angle, Kane, Mankind, Stone Cold, The Rock, and The Undertaker.
After forming The Two Man Power Trip with Stone Cold, Triple H also won the Intercontinental and Tag Team Championship. In 2001, Triple H got injured and took time off for eight months. In 2002, Triple H returned and won the Royal Rumble match. At WrestleMania XVIII, Triple H defeated Chris Jericho to become the Undisputed WWF Champion.
Ruthless Aggression (2002-2008)
After losing the title, they moved Triple H to RAW, where he was reunited with Shawn Michaels after four years. Triple H instantly turned on Michaels and turned heel. At SummerSlam, Shawn Michaels defeated Triple H in an unsanctioned match. The rivalry continued for two years when Michaels feuded with Triple H and the members of Evolution. In the inaugural Elimination Chamber match, Micheals defeated Triple H to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
After Triple H created Evolution, he defeated Michaels to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. In 2003, Triple H feuded with stars such as Booker T, Kevin Nash, Goldberg, Shawn Michaels, and many more while he stayed as the World Heavyweight Champion. At WrestleMania XIX, Triple H defeated Booker T to retain as champion. At SummerSlam, Triple H won the Elimination Chamber match to retain as champion.
In 2004, Chris Benoit won the Royal Rumble and moved to RAW where he challenged Triple H. At WrestleMania XX, Benoit defeated Triple H and Michaels to win the World Heavyweight Championship. At SummerSlam, Randy Orton from Evolution defeated Chris Benoit to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Later, the stable turned on Orton and attacked him. A month later, Triple won the title from Orton.
After feuding with Orton, Batista and Triple H showed dissension in the stable. In 2005, Triple H ended his feud with Orton while Batista won the Royal Rumble match. At WrestleMania XXI, Batista defeated Triple H to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H feuded with Batista over the summer before they drafted Batista to SmackDown. Later, he feuded with Flair and won.
In 2006, Triple began feuding with John Cena for the WWE Championship. At WrestleMania XXII, John Cena defeated Triple H to retain his WWE Championship. After Mania, Triple H had several championship matches but failed to win. Over the summer, Triple H turned face as he reunited with Shawn Michaels and reformed DX.
The team feuded with The McMahons and Spirit Squad. At SummerSlam, DX defeated The McMahons. At Unforgiven, DX defeated The McMahons and The Big Show in a hell in a cell match. In the end, DX feuded with Rated RKO for the World Tag Team Championship. During their match at New Year's Revolution, Triple H was injured and stretchered out. In 2007, Triple H returned from his injury and defeated Booker T at SummerSlam.
At No Mercy, Triple H defeated Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. Later, he lost the title back to Orton. At WrestleMania XXIV, Orton defeated Triple H and John Cena to retain the title. A month later, Triple H won the title and ended his feud with Orton. They drafted him to SmackDown where he feuded with Jeff hardy and Edge for the title.
PG Era and The Authority (2009-2015)
In 2009, Triple H feuded with Orton for the WWE Championship. The storyline involved Orton and Legacy feuding with Triple H and the McMahons. At WrestleMania XXV, Triple H defeated Orton. A month later, Orton won the title from Triple H. After failing to defeat Orton, Triple H reunited with Shawn Michaels and formed DX. DX feuded with Legacy over the summer and won.
By the end of the year, DX began feuding with Jeri-Show. At TLC, DX defeated Jeri-Show to win the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships. In 2010, DX lost the title to Show-Miz and Triple H began feuding with Sheamus. At WrestleMania XXVI, Triple H defeated Sheamus. Next month, Sheamus won at Extreme Rules and Triple H took some time off due to injuries.
In 2011, Triple H returned and attacked Sheamus for injuring him the previous year. Later, he challenged Undertaker to a match at WrestleMania. At WrestleMania XXVII, Undertaker defeated Triple H in a No Holds Barred match. After Mania, Triple H returned in July and took over Vince McMahon's on-screen duties. Over the summer, Triple H feuded with CM Punk, The Miz, and R-Truth.
In October, Triple H began feuding with Kevin Nash. At TLC, he defeated Nash in a Sledgehammer on a ladder match. In 2012, The Undertaker returned and interrupted Triple H. At WrestleMania XXVIII, Undertaker defeated Triple H inside hell in a cell. After Mania, Triple H returned in April and began feuding with Brock Lesnar. At SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar defeated Triple H and took him off television.
In 2013, Triple H returned and challenged Brock Lesnar to match at WrestleMania. At WrestleMania XXIX, Triple H defeated Brock Lesnar in a No Holds Barred match. A month later, Triple H faced Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules and lost. In August, Triple H returned to become the special guest referee for the match between John Cena and Daniel Bryan.
At SummerSlam, Triple H attacked Bryan and allowed Randy Orton to cash in. The next night, Triple H created The Authority with The Shield, Randy Orton, and Kane. The stable dominated WWE for the next three years. Triple H became an on-screen personality and a semi-retired wrestler. The Authority first feuded with Daniel Bryan.
In 2014, after weeks of being called out, Daniel Bryan was set to face Triple H at WrestleMania. At WrestleMania XXX, Daniel Bryan defeated Triple H. The night after Mania, The Shield turned on The Authority and began feuding. Batista turned heel and joined Triple H and Randy Orton.
Evolution faced The Shield on two occasions and lost. The night after Payback, Batista left WWE. Later, Seth Rollins turned on The Shield and joined The Authority. Triple H remains as an on-screen personality and feuded with John Cena. At Survivor Series, Team Cena defeated Team Authority with the help of Sting.
In 2015, Sting challenged Triple H. At WrestleMania 31, Triple H defeated Sting. Over the coming months, The Authority feuded with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns as Seth Rollins became the WWE Champion. After Rollins vacated the championship, The Authority helped Sheamus to cash in and become the champion. After TLC, Roman Reigns attacked Triple H and took him off television.
Part-time Feuds and NXT (2016-2021)
In 2016, Triple H returned and won the WWE Championship during the Royal Rumble match. Roman Reigns began feuding with Triple H for the WWE Championship. At WrestleMania 32, Reigns defeated Triple H for the WWE Championship. Triple H was also a producer and creative head for NXT, where he would work as a backstage personality and run the shows and PPVs.
After The Authority disbanded, Triple H showed up on RAW and helped Kevin Owens to win the Universal Championship. Triple H was not seen throughout the year. However, the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Triple H was in the works. In 2017, Triple H and Seth Rollins began feuding when Rollins showed up at TakeOver San Antonio. At WrestleMania 33, Rollins defeated Triple H in a non-sanctioned match.
In November, Triple H returned to RAW and joined Team RAW for Survivor Series. At Survivor Series, Team RAW won and Triple H began feuding with Kurt Angle. In 2018, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon began feuding with Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle. At WrestleMania 34, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle defeated Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
A month later, Triple H faced John Cena at the Greatest Royal Rumble and lost. Later, Triple H returned and faced The Undertaker at Super Show Down and lost. In November, DX faced the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel and won. After the match, Triple H took some time off due to an injury.
In 2019, Triple H and Batista reignited their feud from 2005. Batista turned heel and Triple H turned face. At WrestleMania 35, Triple H defeated Batista in a No Holds Barred match. A month later, Triple faced Randy Orton and lost at Super Show Down in Saudi Arabia.
In 2020, Triple H had no singles matches as he was working as a backstage producer and creative head for NXT. Triple H made sporadic appearances for the rest of the year. In 2021, Triple H had a brawl with Randy Orton on RAW during Orton's rivalry with The Fiend. At WrestleMania 37, Triple H was present with other WWE Superstars.
Following a cardiac event suffered in 2021 in addition to viral pneumonia, Triple H stepped down from his position of EVP. He also announced his in-ring retirement in an interview on ESPN First Take and then confirmed it at WrestleMania 38 by leaving his ring gear. He announced his return as the company's EVP again in July 2022.

After Vince McMahon retired from WWE, Triple H has took over the buisness. On 6th September, 2022, Paul was announced as the Chief Content Office of the promotion. He is also the Head of WWE Creative.
