About Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals is a legendary NFL franchise which was established even before the NFL formally started. Founded in 1989 (as the Morgan Athletic Club), the Arizona Cardinals joined the NFL as a charter member in 1920. The franchise was known as the Chicago Cardinals when it joined the NFL. The franchise later shifted to St. Louis, came to be known as the St. Louis Cardinals. When the franchise moved to Phoenix in 1988, the team was renamed again to Phoenix Cardinals and finally the Arizona Cardinals in 1994. The Arizona Cardinals are currently the oldest continuously run football franchise in America. The Arizona Cardinals have not had much success getting into the NFL Playoffs, since they have only made it to the Playoffs 11 times in their history. However, the Cardinals have not ever lost a playoff game in their home stadium. The historically rich franchise has witnessed many legendary players playing for them like, Larry Fitzgerald Jr, Kurt Warner, and Larry Wilson.
Arizona Cardinals Next Game
The Arizona Cardinals will be hoping to improve upon their previous NFL season as it fell short of the mark. They will head into the 2023-24 NFL season with three preseason games. They will face the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and the Minnesota Vikings for their three preseason games in August, 2023.
They begin the regular season on the road against the Washington Commanders on September 10, 2023. After a bye week in Gameweek 14, the Cardinals host the San Francisco 49ers on December 17, 2023 and then travel to Chicago to play the Bears on December 24, 2023. The regular season concludes with an away game against the Philadelphia Eagles on the last day of December 2023. Arizona Cardinals Roster 2023-24
A full-scale rebuild is actively being pursued by the Cardinals, resulting in a currently less talent-rich roster. Throughout the offseason, several key players, including DeAndre Hopkins, Byron Murphy Jr., J.J. Watt, and Zach Allen, have been lost – all of whom could have been important players on the roster. As of now quarterback Kyler Murray is the most reliable offensive threat for the Cardinals. Safet, Budda Baker is another reliable star on the team roster.
The Cardinals will be turnging to their rookies for a fresh outlook in the upcoming season. Round 1 pick of the 2023 NFL Draft Paris Johnson Jr. can be a potential starting OT for the team. Pass rusher BJ Ojulari is another rookie with the potential to make a considerable impact for the team in the upcoming saeason.
