Charlotte Hornets Depth Chart 2023-24
The Charlotte Hornets are aiming to end their seven-year playoff drought in the 2023-24 season. The Charlotte Hornets depth chart is anchored by standout power forward Miles Bridges. Bridges is known for his strong passing abilities, lockdown defense, and versatility to score at the rim or from beyond the arc.
Joining Bridges is rookie small forward Brandon Miller, the Hornets' lottery pick in the 2023 draft. Miller was named MVP of the 2023 SEC men's basketball tournament during his college career.
Protecting the paint is 7-foot center Nick Richards, an elite shot blocker and finisher around the basket on offense. Richards' interior presence will be key for the Hornets.
In the backcourt, young sharpshooter Tre Mann starts as a shooting guard, using his smooth stroke to space the floor while also creating for teammates with his passing. Running the point is rookie Vasilije Micic, acquired from the Oklahoma City Thunder midseason. Micic is an adept playmaker and scorer who can knock down threes or get to the rim.
The Hornets’ depth chart for the bench is bolstered by the midseason addition of Grant Williams, traded from the Dallas Mavericks. Williams provides a defensive-minded big man who can spell Richards at center while also stretching the floor on offense.
Another key reserve is Aleksej Pokusevski, brought over from OKC with Micic. At 7 feet tall, Pokusevski is a unique power forward skilled at facilitating, and scoring inside and out. Veteran sharpshooter Davis Bertans also comes off the bench to rain threes.
Rounding out the depth chart is second-year combo guard Bryce McGowens, who figures to see meaningful minutes backing up in the backcourt.
With a nice blend of young upside anchored by Miles Bridges and an intriguing mix of mid-season veteran additions, the 2023-24 Hornets have enough talent to make them a potential spoiler in the Eastern Conference. Their depth chart is headlined by versatile, multi-skilled players up and down the roster.
