Delhi Capitals (DC) are among the teams that have gone through name changes over the years in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team were originally called Delhi Daredevils and was one of the inaugural IPL franchises when the league started in 2008. DC used the old name from 2008 to 2018, following which they rebranded and started using the Delhi Capitals name from 2019 onwards. The team play their home games at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
DC are one of the IPL teams that are yet to win the IPL title, as of May 2025. However, they competed in their first IPL final against Mumbai Indians in 2020, in which MI won by five wickets. The team are being captained by Axar Patel while being under the guidance of their coach Hemang Badani, as per the official IPL website.
