Rajasthan Royals' injury replacements
RR has signed two South Africans, Lhuan Dre Pretorius and Nandre Burger, as Nitish Rana and Sandeep Sharma's replacements, respectively. Sandeep Sharma sustained a finger injury, while Nitish Rana's cause of injury is still unknown (as per IPL's official website). Lhuan came in to RR with an INR 30 lakh signing amount, while Burger was signed in for an INR 3.5 crores. Burger has also represented RR in IPL 2024, picking up seven wickets in six games. It will be the first-ever IPL season for Lhuan Dre Pretorius. He has played in the SA20 2024-25 edition, scoring 397 runs at an average of 33.08. His highest score in the tournament was 97.
