What a brilliant game of cricket. No drama, no controversy, just the funny old T20. Bangladesh start their group stage well while Sri Lanka, after back-to-back losses have reduced their chances of qualifying for the Super-Eights to dust. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the coverage, folks. Najmul Hossain Shanto: The way everyone showed their body language, I am really happy. Everyone gave their 120%. The last 10-15 days, we have been planning all the things, and fielding has been good. It wasn't easy (the chase) but it was a really good wicket. Litton was struggling in the last few weeks, he showed his class today. Hridoy is really courageous. Really happy with the crowd, I hope they'll come again.
Wanindu Hasaranga: Our batters batted really well in the first eight overs but then we batted badly. We all know our bowling attack is our strength. If batters put 150-160, our bowlers can win the game. It's tough. We have two games remaining and want to do our best. Ee bowled with four main bowlers who did their job but unfortunately, we need to get the remaining four overs from our all-rounders.
Rishad Hossain (Player of the Match, 3/22): I tried my best and stuck to my strengths. I was trying to keep it normal for the hat-trick delivery and was keen on executing a good ball.

This is a proper rivalry. This is not like two neighbors being arranged to play together and boring each other to death. This is EL-NAGINO! This time there was no drama but just some really good and really poor cricket jammed together to get us a nail-biting contest that kept switching till the end.
For Bangladesh, this game was won by youngsters even as the seniors tried their best to make it tough. The target looked like an easy one at the start of the second innings. The pitch was flat and Sri Lanka had looked timid in the first innings. In the second, they changed everything up as the brilliant bowling attack came to the fore.
The openers and Shanto went cheaply thanks to brilliant opening spells from de Silva and Thushara. Das and Hridoy started a good rebuild. The former played defensively while the latter looked for boundaries. Hridoy exploded against Hasaranga with three sixes and even though he got out on the next ball, he had brought the required run rate down to around 4.
But for some reason, Bangladesh grew complacent. Das started leaving balls and the pressure built, enough for four wickets to fall for just about 15 runs. The final twist came when Shanaka got the second-last over because Hasaranga had top-loaded all of his best bowlers and ran out of options. A big full-toss allowed a massive six from Mahmadullah, who just knocked it around to finish it after that, registering the first win for Sri Lanka over Bangladesh at T20 World Cups.
