20:34 PM IST || That's all we have in our live coverage of this game between Delhi and UP. I am Samanvaya Sharma, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Bidipto, as we will take your leave now. Goodbye and take care of yourselves. See you again!!!
Ayush Badoni(Delhi Captain): We played according to our plans and we succeeded. We are confident after putting up such a huge total on the board, as we have that blowing line-up against which chasing around 193 runs is difficult. We are just concerned about our players fitness going hard into the Semi-finals, hoping that they recover well by the next game. Apart from this, we are happy with our performances tonight.
Anuj Rawat (Player of the Match, 73* off 33 balls): Knowledge of playing here did help for sure! Ayush Badoni told me that I keep playing my shots, keep showing intent and back myself. I did that and it worked really well for me!
Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Uttar Pradesh captain): I think we lost the match when we lost the first five wickets rather quickly in the first 10 overs. As a team we are going to talk about things before the one-dayers, no doubt. The way we bowled throughout the tournament was special and of course, Rinku Singh's batting! These were positives for sure.
It's time for the post-match presentation!
20:04 PM IST || MATCH SUMMARY || Delhi won by 19 runs.
It all started with team Uttar Pradesh winning the toss and inviting team Delhi to have a bat first. Delhi came out to bat and posted a humongous total on the board, with the help of an impeccable knock by Anuj Rawat. Both their openers Priyansh Arya and Yash Dhull also contributed well, right at the top of the order. In the bowling department, pacer Prince Yadav performed amazingly well and took 3 crucial wickets in the middle overs. He made perfect use of the bouncers tonight, which didn't allow the UP batters to get settled in. Apart from him Suyash Sharma and Ayush Badoni also took 2 wickets each, in the later half of the innings, when the ball started to come on the bat a bit late.
Uttar Pradesh came out for the chase, and they lost their both openers quite early. After which Priyam Garg took responsibility on his shoulders and tried to bring UP back into this game, but he failed to do so, as he lost his wicket on 54 runs while trying to go for biggies. Other than him, no one performed the way UP needed tonight, which caused this match to lose. In their bowling department, Nitish Rana, Mohsin Khan, and Vinnet Panwar took 3 wickets each.
With all this, team Delhi has now qualified for the semi-final stage of SMAT 2024.

19.6 Prince Yadav to Vineet Panwar, ANOTHER CAUGHT AND BOWLED! DELHI ARE IN THE SEMI-FINALS! Back of a length on off-and-middle. Vineet went for the big hoick over deep square-leg on the back foot but spliced it high up in the air. Prince went over to the forward short-leg area, kept his eyes on the ball and took the catch!
Vineet Panwar c and b Prince Yadav 9 (5b, 2x4, 0x6)
19.5 Prince Yadav to Vineet Panwar, FOUR MORE! Good length slower ball around off-stump. Heaved over mid-off by making room and going deep in the crease. Away she went over the in-field!
19.4 Prince Yadav to Vineet Panwar, short over middle-and-off now. Vineet makes room and tries to slash it. But he fails to connect! Dot ball.
