Suyash Sharma started off his career by playing club cricket in his hometown Delhi. Later on, the 21-year-old went to play junior cricket before moving on to the senior level. With no prior experience in professional cricket, the Kolkata Knight Riders’ scouting team trusted Sharma and gifted him an IPL contract.

After having an impressive maiden IPL campaign, Suyash Sharma made his domestic debut for Delhi against Madhya Pradesh (MP) in Dehradun in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2023-24 season on October 17, 2023. He stunned everyone with a five-wicket haul on his SMAT debut, returning with figures of 4-0-13-5, at an economy of a mere 3.25.
Sharma made his List-A debut for Delhi against Bihar in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023-24 season in Ahmedabad on November 23, 2023. Similar to his domestic debut, the leggie was impressive on his Vijay Hazare Trophy debut as well. He was economical with the ball and returned with figures of 9-1-19-3 at an economy of 2.11.
