Ayush Badoni, 24, is an Indian cricketer who plays for Delhi Capitals in domestic cricket and Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL. Ayush is an all-rounder player who contributes to the team by batting lower order and bowling off-spin.

Ayush Badoni Career

Ayush Badoni has represented the Indian team at the junior level. Batting at number seven in the four-day Under-19 match against Sri Lanka, he scored 185 runs in 202 balls and also took four wickets. Ayush plays first-class cricket for Delhi. He made his debut in the Ranji Trophy in 2023. Talking about the List A match, Ayush Badoni played his first match for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2022.

Lucknow Supergiants included Ayush Badoni in their team in the Mega Action 2022 for his base price of Rs 20 lakh. Since then, Ayush Badoni has been associated with Lucknow Supergiants and has emerged as a match-winner on many occasions.

Domestic Career

Ayush Badoni, who plays for Delhi, started his domestic cricket journey with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2021, after which he made his debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy the next year and then in the Ranji Trophy in 2023. In the Ranji Trophy, Ayush Badoni has so far scored 564 runs in 14 innings of nine matches at an excellent average of 43.38, in which his highest score is 191 runs. If we talk about Ayush Badoni's List A career, he has scored 388 runs in 12 matches at an average of 48.50 and strike rate of 97.73, which also includes a century in his name.

In the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season, Ayush Badoni has been the third-highest run scorer for Delhi after Yash Dhool and Himmat Singh, scoring 333 runs in 6 matches at an average of 37.

IPL Career

Ayush Badoni was included in their team by Lucknow Supergiants for Rs 20 lakh in the mega action of 2022 IPL, after which Ayush Badoni has become an important player for Lucknow Supergiants. If we ignore the only match of his first season, then Ayush has played almost all the matches for Lucknow Supergiants so far.

Ayush Badoni has played 42 IPL matches so far in which he has scored 634 runs with his bat at an average of 24.38 and strike rate of 134.004, which also includes four half-centuries in his name.

Talking about Ayush Badoni's Under-19 career, he participated in the four-day Under-19 Test match of India vs Sri Lanka, where he scored a huge 185 runs in 205 balls with the help of 19 fours and four sixes while batting at number seven due to which the Indian team defeated Sri Lanka by 21 runs. Ayush Badoni not only showed his prowess with his bat in the match but even while bowling, he took four important wickets for just 24 runs in 9.3 overs.
