Kyle Mayers, Barbados Royals captain: As I said earlier, we have a great team. Just had a bad game the other day, but we put up a better performance today. Rahkeem (Cornwall) hasn't had a great season since his injury but we have backed him. Ramon Simmonds is a brilliant prospect. The guys have been doing a great job, and now we have a much-needed day of rest.
Shimron Hetmyer, Guyana Amazon Warriors captain: On a day like today, they did really well. (Winning toss and chasing) For me, we are comfortable with what we have to do. We back ourselves, as we did today. It's all about staying positive and keep going in the next game. The only concern was that a few of the guys had niggles. As a team, we know what went wrong today. So, it's all about going to the drawing board and correcting these wrongs.
Rahkeem Cornwall is the Player of the Match. Here is what he has to say: (Slow start) We gave ourselves a chance to see what the pitch is doing and we can always make up in the end. The energy in the dressing room is good and we're doing a good job. (Eyes on a century) Yeah, I had my eye on it but that's okay, you put the team first. (Defending the total) It's all about having confidence going first. The way Simmonds started gave us the edge that we can go and win the game. I am an all-rounder, so I try to contribute and do things that can get the team over the line. It's a good feeling (getting in the finals). We put in the work in the tournament. We had a bad game in the last game but we moved on from that quickly.

Barbados Royals win by 87 runs
From the way they started off this run-chase, at no point did it feel like they were going for the win. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the only one who could have set the tempo for the chase, but his early dismissal squandered chances for a flying start. Shai Hope and Chandrapaul Hemraj took their time to read the wicket with the required rate climbing over 10 an over. Hope eventually started to take on the bowling, but was then met with an absolute jaffa from Ramon Simmonds and the bails were sent flying. Shakib and Hemraj followed him back to the dugout soon after, and it was left to Hetmyer and the rest of the line-up to salvage things out of the extremely adverse situation.
Keemo Paul showed some promise, but his stay was a short one. Rahkeem Cornwall, fresh from a game defining 91 off 54, went on to add a couple of scalps to his name in quick succession to cap off a memorable day for himself and his team. Odean Smith was still to come, but he, too, was unable to make any impact. With the wicket of Hetmyer, the crowd started to flock out of the ground. Junior Sinclair and Imran Tahir, numbers 10 and 11, batted for a while, had some fun, until Tahir was caught brilliantly on the boundary by Harry Tector.
17.4 Hayden Walsh Jr to Imran Tahir, HOLES OUT IN THE DEEP! They will check this once, for a clean catch. Tossed up on length around off, Tahir connects with his slog sweep to sky it miles in the air towards long-on. Tector is there, catching it while keeping himself within the boundary. Lost his balance for a bit but he executed the in-and-out parry to get himself steady and ensure he hasn't touched the ropes. A comprehensive 87-run win for the Barbados Royals, who are heading into yet another CPL final!
