Shubman Gill (captain, India): Very happy, great to be back on a winning note. With the way Abhishek and Rutu batted, it was tough to bat against the new ball. Yesterday it was about being under pressure and cracking under. It was good that we were under pressure in the first game and now the guys will be able to crack it. We have three more matches to go. It is always good to have more options than to have no options

Abhishek Sharma is the player of the match. Here is what he has to say: I think it was a good performance. The defeat was had yesterday was tough and we did not have a lot of time to ponder up on it. I felt that T20 is all about the momentum, I knew it was my day today and stood up. I believed in myself as a youngster and if it is your day you should take your chances. Rutu and I were talking a lot after very over. If it is in my arc, I believe I should hit it

Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe captain): World champions played like world champions. Much better wicket today, there wasn't much on the track earlier when the bowlers missed the lengths, but dropping four catches definitely hurt us. Expected 200 on that wicket, it was a good wicket and it would still remain the same in the second half, they got 20 odd or 30 odd more. Would've been a much closer game had we started of well, coming off the half-way, I thought it would be a close game, but the top order hasn't been scoring consistently as it should be. Muzarabani has been our go to guy, he's come leaps and bounces, the graph will keep going up, he's hungry and he'll go a long way. Certainly with the batting, it's a task that we've been talking for a long time, lot more positive today. When it's a pattern, it's very hard to fix when too many things going on. I'm sure boys will learn from it and get better.

Ravi Bishnoi (India): It was disappointing yesterday, we didn't play the kind of cricket we used to play yesterday, it all worked out today. Feeling well, helping the team with my performances. Four wickets didn't help yesterday, but today's two wicket is what I'm happy about. Turn is not there, but it skids on and troubles the batter. Celebration will continue, it's a big victory for us with the trophy.

A close contest that was brewing early in the chase ended up being a no-show as the visitors made a comeback in the series and levelled it.

Zimbabwe had a shaky start as Kaia lost his wicket after a boundary. Brian Bennett put on a fight but Mukesh Kumar accounted for his wicket. Myers, Raza and Campbell were swatted away in quick succession as Zimbabwe found themselves on 72/5 at the halfway mark.

Wessly Madhevere, who was still unbeaten, could not get a move on as he played too many dots and failed to collect boundaries. Luke Jongwe was the only other batter who played a sizeable knock as the hosts lost the early steam they had gathered and were bundled out 100 runs short.

For India, this win will be a confidence booster. They were down after their loss yesterday and now will be looking to continue the same tempo throughout the tour. Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar chipped in with three wickets each. Ravi Bishnoi was successful among the spinners as he picked up 2 wickets and Washington Sundar was the other bowler to pick up a wicket in this contest. The fielding was sluggish early on but they made up for it, with Jurel chipping in with a fantastic run out.
