Alexsandro “Poatan” Pereira is a Brazilian MMA fighter competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He competes in the UFC light heavyweight division and is a former champion of the division. Besides being a successful mixed martial artist, Pereira has also been a former kickboxer who won two glory belts at the same time in middleweight (2017) with five successful defenses and light heavyweight (2021).

Born on July 7, 1987, in Sao Bernardo do Campo, Alex Pereira made his UFC debut at UFC 268 against Andreas Michailidis on November 6, 2021. He won the fight through a TKO in Round 2. Since then, he has been a former UFC middleweight champion, reigning light heavyweight champion, and a 5-time winner of the Performance of the Night bonus.

Aline Silva Pereira is Alex Pereira's younger sister. She currently competes in the flyweight division of the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA). Aline Pereira was born on October 6, 1990, in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil.

She has a kickboxing background, just like her brother. She is a newcomer to the world of MMA. Pereira made her MMA debut at Legacy Fighting Championship 147: Melo vs. Costa on November 18, 2022. Then, she faced Helen Peralta, who defeated her via unanimous decision at 5 minutes into Round 3. She made her LFA return at Legacy Fighting Alliance 160: Sweeney vs. Begosso, where she faced Chelsea Conner in June 2023. This time, she won the fight by unanimous decision at 5 minutes into Round 3.

On September 22, 2023, Aline Pereira fought Cheyanne Bowers at the LFA 168 at Prior Lake, Minnesota, United States. Pereira was defeated by a unanimous decision. Aline Pereira currently holds a record of 1 win and 2 losses as of February 2025.
