Demetrius Knight Jr. is an American football linebacker who represents the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. The Bengals took him in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft. The 39th overall pick from the 2025 NFL draft represented the South Carolina Gamecocks during the 2024 collegiate season. He previously played for the Charlotte 49ers and for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He is a native of Locust Grove, Georgia, and attended Strong Rock Christian School, as per Georgia Tech's official website. On January 7, 2024, Demetrius declared for the NFL Draft on Instagram (@the_chozenknight1). At the 2025 NFL Combine, his Next Gen Stats score of 74 ranked 6th overall among the linebackers, according to NFL's official website.

Demetrius Knight’s collegiate football career has spanned multiple programs. He started at Georgia Tech in 2019, recruited as a dual-threat quarterback. He later switched to linebacker. Over three seasons with the Yellow Jackets, he played in 36 games. He recorded 51 tackles, including three for a loss, one sack, and two pass deflections. In 2023, he transferred to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. That season, he posted 96 tackles, six tackles for loss, three interceptions, and a touchdown. He was named First-Team All-American Athletic Conference, according to his Charlotte athletics roster. In 2024, he transferred to South Carolina Gamecocks. With the Gamecocks, he totaled 82 tackles (57 solo), eight tackles for loss, two sacks, and three forced fumbles. (via Sports Reference).
