What is Tom Brady's highest NFL contract?

Brady’s 2 year’s 50 million deal with the Buccaneers is his highest ever contract. Even more than that he had with the New England Patriots. Brady made over $230 million across his 20 seasons in New England, yet rarely had a base salary over $4 million. Only in 2015, Brady received the highest base salary of $8 million in New England. Brady’s $7.5 million base salary in 2010 was the only other year he cleared $6 million from the base. But with the Buccaneers, he gets a base salary of $15 million.

How much was Tom Brady's contract with the Patriots?

Tom Brady is the best quarterback in NFL history but he hasn't been paid accordingly. There have been six deals in all that extended Brady’s tenure with the team.

In the 2000 draft as the 199th overall pick, Brady’s deal was for four years and $2.52M. His signing bonus was $157,608. His rookie salary was $193K. Brady got a new deal in 2002 that would take him through 2006. It was for 5 years and $30.52 million. His signing bonus was $10 million. Brady would receive $250K for every AFC Championship win and $250K for every Super Bowl win, as part of that deal. He’d realize $1M from those incentives thanks to the 2003 and 2004 seasons. He kept his initial 2002 salary of $375K, but the salaries jumped to $3.1M, $5.5M, $5.5M, and $6M from 2003 through 2006. To grab more cap space and dump money forward so his cap charges in ‘05 and ’06 were slated to be $10M and $14M, the Patriots tinkered with the deal in 2003 and 2004.

For the 2010 season, Brady got a deal for 6 years for $60 million with a signing bonus of $26.5 million ($14.5 signing bonus, $12M roster bonus in 2006). For the four years from 2011 through 2014 seasons, the extension was $72 million with a signing bonus of $48.5 million guaranteed. Following this, just before the 2013 league year began, Brady reworked and extended his deal to that of three years with a $27 million extension, and a guaranteed sum of $33 million. 2015 through 2017 his salaries were respectively $13M, $14M and $15M. The deal’s maximum value was $57M over five years with $33M guaranteed, including the years of 2013 and 2014.

For the 2018 and 2019 seasons, Brady got a 2-year deal with a $41 million extension and a signing bonus of $28 million from the Patriots. With his deal set to expire at the end of the 2019 season, the Patriots offered him a deal for 1 year which was $23 million, and a signing bonus of $8 million. The contract ended in March of 2020 following which Brady signed with the Buccaneers.
