Mike Danna’s Parents

Michael "Mike" Danna, a defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs, was selected in round five as the #177 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. However, he was not invited to the Combine. The Detriot, Michigan, native was born on December 4, 1997, and went to De La Salle Collegiate High School. He finished with 20 tackles for loss, was named an Associated Press All-State special mention, and led the team to win the state championship.

Danna enrolled at Michigan Central University, where he won the Herb Deromedi Most Valuable Player award and was named to the first team of the Mid-American Conference. After considering going to the NFL in 2018, he decided to use the transfer portal even after having 66 tackles, including 15 for a loss and 9.5 sacks. He went to the University of Michigan for his senior year since he was a lifelong Wolverine fan. Most recently, in April 2024, his contract with the Chiefs was extended for three more years, worth $24 million as per Spotrac.
