Sai Sudharsan, Player of the Match: I was just thinking what needs to be done right. Was not under pressure. The track was a bit low and skidding through. My plan was to take the game deep. Weathering the storm early on, it was difficult. The ball was seaming a lot.

Hardik Pandya, (Gujarat Giants captain): It was little funny at the start. Didn't know what was happening but something was happening. We gave 20 runs extra in the Powerplay. The way the bowlers pulled the game back was amazing. (On his bowling changes) It's my instinct. Whatever I feel at a particular, like to go with it. We just try to enjoy the game. There are some smiles which will make you take the right decisions. As you said, we have spoken that let us be happy. Whatever the result is, let us try to back ourselves. (On Sai Sudharsan) Whatever you see is all his hard-work. In 2-3 years, he will something great for not just the franchise but also India

David Miller: No time to get jet-lagged. Nice to get the win tonight. (Chat with Sai) We were within range, it was a matter of 3 sixes or 4 fours. A lot can happen at the backend, so I just felt like I needed to go in that over. (Good chasing side) We started well last year and built some momentum. We've got some mature cricketers in the middle over with guys like Tewatia and Rashid. Even at the top, we've got guys who set the platform. We've been making good decisions. When chasing totals, you can panic early but we've remained calm.(Environment in the team) It's a very relaxed environment instilling calmness on and off the field. Obviously, things will get heated sometimes in the middle but otherwise, it's a very relaxed environment.

David Warner (Delhi Capitals): (Swing) I don't think I was surprised by it but it was a lot more than anticipated. Losing wickets in the powerplay is always going to be a struggle. They (GT batters) showed attention to detail and that's something we can learn from. (Losing wickets in the powerplay) You can't do that in this game. That's something we have to look after, especially at this venue with the new ball swinging in the first innings. We have to look after that. Our bowlers bowled extremely well. We were a bit short but were still in the game towards the backend. Sai played really well and Miller did what he does. (Not bowling Axar) It was more because of the surface because the ball was coming on. With the dew coming in, 180-190 would have been a good total. With the ball skidding on nicely, Kuldeep was probably going to be more effective with his wrong ones and variations. Mitchell Marsh did well for us as well. So, didn't have to go to Axar.

What a comprehensive chase from Gujarat Titans. They didn't break a sweat even after the fiery early spell from Anrich Nortje! Wriddhiman Saha got off to a flier in the first over and this forced David Warner to bring on Nortje in the third over. Nortje struck off his very first ball while he also got rid of Shubman Gill in the fifth!

Just as Sai Sudharsan and Hardik Pandya tried to rebuild, Khaleel Ahmed dismissed the latter off the final delivery in the Powerplay to spice up the game. This is when GT introduced Vijay Shankar as an impact payer and the all-rounder stitched a composed partnership with Sudharsan. David Warner didn't bring in Axar Patel and the Tamil Nadu just milked the middle-orders to ensure that the asking rate didn't go out of control.

Just as when the game was going through the motions, Mitchell Marsh trapped Shankar with a slower ball in the 14th over. Just as DC got some hope, Miller quickly extinguished it by taking 20 runs off the 16th over. Sudharsan also joined in the party as he took on Nortje and reached a much-deserved fifty off 44 balls! From there on, it was just a matter of when as Miller clipped Marsh for a brace to see out the game with 11 balls to spare!

18.1 Mitchell Marsh to David Miller, GUJARAT TITANS GET THE JOB DONE! Full to angle it into the pads, Miller flicks it in front of square and picks up a brace rather comfortably to help GT to a 6-wicket win with 11 balls to spare!
