Indian cricket player Sarfaraz Naushad Khan was born on October 22, 1997, and is well-known for his prolific batting technique. In 2024, Sarfaraz Khan received his first call-up to the Indian cricket team due to injuries to key players Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul during the first Test against England in Hyderabad.

Sarfaraz made his international debut on February 15, 2024, in the third Test against England held in Rajkot. He had an impressive start, scoring 62 runs off 66 balls in his first innings. Unfortunately, he was run out after a mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja, who later shared his regret on Instagram while praising Sarfaraz's performance. Sarfaraz's fifty came in just 48 balls, making it one of the fastest fifties by an Indian on debut, equaling Hardik Pandya’s record from 2017.

This performance made him the fourth Indian cricketer to achieve fifties in both innings of his Test debut, joining legends like Sunil Gavaskar. In the 2016 Under-19 World Cup, Sarfaraz Khan became the second-highest run-scorer. He scored 355 runs in 6 matches at an average of 71 and scored half-centuries in five matches.

One of his standout performances came in 2013 against the South Africa Under-19 team, where he smashed a century in just 66 balls. His 101-run innings, studded with 17 fours and one six, showcased his ability to dominate bowlers even at a young age.

Sarfaraz grew up in Mumbai's suburbs, but his family is originally from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. He spent much of his childhood playing cricket at Azad Maidan, where his father, Naushad Khan, coached young talents like Iqbal Abdulla and Kamran Khan.
