Khaleel Khursheed Ahmed was born on December 05, 1997, in Tonk in Rajasthan, India. He is a left-arm fast-medium bowler and shot to prominence when he represented India at the under-19 level.

Khaleel Ahmed Domestic Career
Khaleel Ahmed made his T20 debut for Rajasthan in the 2016–17 Inter-State Twenty-20 Tournament on February 05, 2017. He went wicketless in his maiden T20 innings. His first-class debut came for Rajasthan against Jammu and Kashmir on October 06, 2017, in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. In his maiden innings, he took the wicket of J&K skipper Parveez Razool and Aditya Singh.
He made his List-A debut against Andhra Pradesh in the 2017-18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 05, 2018. He took the solitary wicket of Ricky Bhui as Rajasthan lost to Andhra Pradesh by 6 wickets.
Khaleel Ahmed IPL Career
Khaleel Ahmed was snapped up by the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) for INR 10 lakhs right after the culmination of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2016. Across the two years he spent, he did not get to make his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut.
He was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2018 auction for INR 3 crores and made his IPL debut against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2018 where he was expensive in his very first outing. Ahmed made the most of his opportunities in the following season, as he grabbed 19 wickets in 9 matches at an average of just 15.10.
After having below-par seasons in the next two editions, he was released by the Sunrisers and acquired by his erstwhile team Delhi Capitals after they outbid the Mumbai Indians for INR 5.25 crores. In his return to his former team, Ahmed showed glimpses of his best as he finished the season with 16 wickets in 10 games at an average of 19.69.
Ahmed became the fastest Indian bowler and the fourth-fastest bowler to take 50 IPL wickets after Kagiso Rabada, Sunil Narine, and Lasith Malinga. He had another terrific season with the ball in IPL 2024, finishing the season as the Capitals’ second-highest wicket-taker behind Mukesh Kumar, with 17 wickets in 14 games.

Khaleel Ahmed was drafted into the Asia Cup 2018 held in the United Arab Emirates and made his ODI debut against Hong Kong. He was impressive in his debut innings as he returned with figures of 3/48. He only played two matches, and India won the Asia Cup in 2018.
Ahmed registered his career-best figures of 3/13 against the West Indies in 2018. He was last seen in India’s tour of the West Indies in 2019 and has not featured in an ODI since.

Ahmed’s performance in the U-19 Tri-Nation tournament was commendable, clinching 12 wickets in his 3 innings.
