Surrey won by 6 wickets Will Jacks 83(57) | James Vince 88(56) Sean Abbott 1-13(3) | Liam Dawson 2-18(4)
It needed one set-batter to stay until the end and Will Jacks took the responsibility and played a match-winning knock. It's a tricky wicket to play in the new ball but the Hawks pacers didn't utilise the conditions effectively.
Will Jacks fired on all cylinders and his aggressive batting ensured that Surrey carry the momentum even though the batters at the other end didn't play any supporting role inside the first 10 overs. The spinners Crane and Dawson bowled a few tight overs and once Sunil Narine got dismissed, the asking rate climbed more than 9.
It looked that the hosts are slowly getting back into the game but Jacks smashed Crane for three consecutive maximums to put his team in cruise control of the chase. Smith played his part in that 64-run partnership and the duo stood firm to steer Surrey home with minimum fuss
