Alas, that was a dampener! With that now, two consecutive matches in this tournament have been washed away by rain. But hey! Weather is not something that is anybody's control. Perhaps, we all need to hang a few "Teru Teru Bōzu" (Japanese Rain Dolls) in our balconies to win over the rain gods. That is exactly what me and Dwaiyapan are going to do! Feel free to join us. Hopefully, the next time we meet, we would have clear skies and some exciting cricketing action to call. Till then, it is a goodbye from Darpan Tikiya and Dwaiyapan Mukherjee! Keep following Sportskeeda for more sporting action.
Update: Match has been abandoned without a ball being bowled!
Heavy rainfall in Morrisville has left the venue in a state that is not deemed fit for a cricket match. The outfield is soaked and inclement weather is still around. The officials have decided to abandon the game and split the points evenly between the two teams.
Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the 10th match! It is the Los Angeles Knight Riders who lock horns with San Fransisco Unicorns today. Darpan Tikiya and Dwaipayan Mukherjee will take you through the action as it unfolds at Church Park Street in Morrisville.
"Momentum" is often the keyword thrown around by players and team managements when it comes to doing well in T20 tournaments. Over the years, we have seen that teams that get on the right side of the results in a few consecutive matches, go on to snowball Ws and find ways to win from improbable situation. Perhaps, that is what "momentum" is about.
Both these teams are searching for the same. The Los Angeles Knight Riders started off with a victory but have gone on to lose their next two fixtures. On the other hand, San Fransisco Unicorns have thus far played only two games. They too, much like their opponents, won the first match and then ended up on the losing side in the next game.
As the tournament gathers steam, both teams look to get back to winning ways.
The last time they were up against each other, was only a week ago. Riding on blistering knocks from Matthew Short and Finn Allen, San Fransisco Unicorns had registered a thumping victory. They would be wanting to repeat the same. On the other hand, the Knight Riders would be hungry for revenge.
It is a different ground, different conditions though. We expect a cracker. So, grab your bowl of popcorn and get set!
