Seth McLaughlin is an American football center from Ohio State University. He previously played for the University of Alabama. He is a Buford, Georgia, and attended Buford High School. McLaughlin joined the Alabama Crimson Tide football program in 2020 and spent four seasons with them. He appeared in 35 games for the Crimson Tide and started 24. During the 2022 season, he played 11 games, starting eight, and he had a key role in Alabama's offensive success, which averaged 41.1 points and 477.1 yards per game. He transferred to the Buckeyes in 2024.

He started 10 games before suffering a season-ending Achilles heel injury in November. Despite the injury, he won the Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center and was named a Consensus All-American. In his college career, McLaughlin appeared in 47 games, 37 for Alabama and 10 for Ohio State. (via Alabama, Ohio state official websites). He was one of 329 prospects invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. At the Combine, his Next Gen Stats score of 73 ranked 3rd overall among the centers, according to the official NFL website.

As of April 2025, Seth McLaughlin has been involved in several NIL partnerships. He first joined the Barstool Athlete program early in his career, partnering with the sports media company. In September 2023, while at the University of Alabama, he teamed up with Yea Alabama, the official NIL entity supporting Alabama athletes. Two months later, in November, he partnered with the West Alabama Food Bank, reflecting his commitment to community service.
