About 2024-25 Washington Commanders Football Schedule

Washington Commanders have entered a new dawn in 2024. They overhauled the whole hierarchy structure from top to bottom this offseason. They first hired Adam Peters as their general manager and then appointed former Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as the 31st head coach in franchise history. However, the biggest missing piece to complete this cycle came in the form of Jayden Daniels, who Washington selected with their 2nd overall pick in the draft.

The Commanders would be in a much better position than other teams in their rebuilding phase due to some young, talented players on the roster. Daniels also has five years of college experience, which will help him adjust to the NFL faster than most rookie QBs. Also, Dan Quinn’s experience from his previous stint as an HC with the Atlanta Falcons would prove to be very valuable to the young team.

When the Washington Commanders schedule got released, fans couldn’t seem to wait to see who their rookie QB would be facing. Washington’s main aim this season would be to develop Jayden Daniels.

Washington Commanders Key Games 2024-25

The Washington Commanders schedule revealed that they would be playing nine home games and eight away games as per NFL’s rotation policy. They would be going up against teams from NFC South and AFC North.

Week 7 - October 20, 2024 - Washington Commanders vs Carolina Panthers

First seven weeks of the Washington Commanders schedule has some winnable games on it. This is the 4th team that the Commanders would be facing by mid-October that didn’t make the playoffs last year. Carolina would be better than last year due to upgrading at WR and OL position. However, with a rookie head coach and second year signal caller, it’s tough to predict how much improvement they will be making compared to last year.

Week 8 - October 27, 2024 - Washington Commanders vs. Chicago Bears

No.1 vs No.2 pick from the 2024 NFL draft. Two Heisman winners from the last two years going up against each other for the first time at the pro level. It can’t get better than that. Even with a rookie QB in Caleb Williams, the Bears are not a bad team. After getting a bad QB play last year, Chicago still managed to finish the 2023 season with a 7-9 record.

Week 15 - December 15, 2024 - Washington Commanders @ New Orleans Saints

This game will be played after a two-week rest for Jayden Daniels and company, due to which they could be significantly fitter. Coming out of BYE week, Washington would also have more time to prepare for the game plan. The Saints would be a formidable foe with a healthy Derek Carr under center.

Where do the Washington Commanders play their games?

The Washington Commanders have called Commanders Field their home since 1997. They have previously played in iconic stadiums like Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium, Griffith Stadium, and Fenway Park.

What channels have Washington Commanders games?

Most of the games on the Washington Commanders schedule will be covered by FOX, while a few remaining ones will be aired on CBS. The Washington Commanders schedule has two primetime games on it. Those two games will be broadcast on ABC and Prime Video, respectively.
