About 2024-25 New Orleans Saints Football Schedule
The New Orleans Saints are in one of the weirdest positions out of all 32 teams in the league. They are not in the position to win a SB but neither are in a position where the wheels completely fall off. They gave Derek Carr a four year contract last season hoping he could be a long term answer at the center for them. However, Derek had an injury riddled season which affected his game but was still able to close out the season with going 4-1 in his last five games. Dennis Allen’s seat is also getting warm as he has yet to take the team to the playoffs in his first two years as a head coach.
They finished second in the division last year which is considered one of the weakest in the entire NFL. However, this year their divisional rivals only got better. The Falcons instantly upgraded their QB position by going from Ridder to Kirk Cousins while Panthers hired one of the brightest offensive minds in the game in Davis Canales to help last year’s No.1 overall pick. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have won division three years in a row, inked Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans to a long term deal.
Saints were not able to add any big names in free agency due to the cap hell they are already in. However, Saints fans were very happy when the New Orleans Saints schedule was released. The Saints have the easiest strength of schedule in the whole league along with the Atlanta Falcons. Their best bet to return to the playoffs resides on Derek Carr getting back to his 2021 form completely free from shoulder injury.
New Orleans Saints Key Games 2024-25
The New Orleans Saints schedule revealed that they will be facing teams from NFC East and AFC West. We will go through some of the intriguing matchups for the team's 2024-25 season.
Week 6 - October 13, 2024 - New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
To take the throne, you gotta beat the king. Saints have finished the last two seasons second and third in the division. The Bucs have beaten the Saints both times in the last two years at the Superdome and that’s not a recipe for success. Saints would be eager to get a leg up in this home game against defending NFC South champions.
Week 7 - October 17, 2024 - New Orleans Saints vs. Denver Broncos
The New Orleans Saints schedule gives an exciting match up mid-way. Sean Payton would be facing his former team with whom he hoisted a Lombardi trophy while Derek Carr would be facing a team against whom he has a 11-6 record from his Raider days. The Saints would have an edge at QB position due to the Broncos most probably starting their rookie QB in Nix. New Orleans also has a better receiving core than Denver.
Week 13 - December 1, 2024 - New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams
Saints would be coming into this game after a BYE week. That alone makes them a favorite in this game as both teams are somewhat even when it comes to roster talent. Rams would miss a future HOFer Aaron Donald who retired in March 2024.
Week 15 - December 15, 2024 - New Orleans vs. Washington Commanders
New Orleans would face their last NFC East opponent at the tail end of the season. Commanders are ushering in a new era with a new head coach along with their rookie signal caller in Jayden Daniels. If Washington can get a competitive play from their No.2 overall pick, this game will come down to the wire.
Where do the New Orleans Saints play their games?
The New Orleans Saints play all their home games at Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana. This has been their home since 1975. Caesars Superdome has hosted seven Super Bowl games. They have previously played in Tulane Stadium from 1967 till 1974.
What channels have New Orleans Saints games?
Most of the games on the New Orleans Saints schedule will be covered by the CBS broadcasting network with other games spread out on various networks such as ESPN, FOX, ABC, and NBC. Their three prime-time games include two MNFs and one TNF. Both Monday Night Football games will be broadcast on ESPN, while Thursday Night Football showdown will be shown on Prime Video.
