Madison Keys is an American professional tennis player, who is ranked No. 13 by the WTA as of June 2024. The 29-year-old reached her highest career ranking No. 7 in 2016 and has won eight WTA singles titles in her career so far, including the 2019 Cincinnati Open title.



Keys began playing tennis at a very young age and started competing in tournaments at the age of nine. She won the 12-and-under Junior Orange Bowl in 2007.



Madison Keys has yet to win a Grand Slam, but she has an excellent record in Grand Slam singles events. She made the US Open final in 2017. She also reached the semifinals of the Australian Open twice, and the French Open once, and made the Wimbledon quarterfinals twice. Keys has won at least one title on each surface, and she also reached the semifinal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.



Keys reached her second WTA 1000 clay semifinal at the 2024 Madrid Open, defeating Liudmila Samsonova, Coco Gauff, and Ons Jabeur after coming from 0-6 0-2 down to win the match. She reached the semifinals of the 2024 Eastbourne International, where she lost to Leylah Fernandez. She won her eighth WTA singles title at the 2024 Internationaux De Strasbourg, registering a win against compatriot Danielle Collins.
