Naomi Osaka is a Japanese professional tennis player, who was born on 16 October, 1997 in Osaka, Japan. She is a powerful striker of the tennis ball, and has already overhauled Grand Slam winners like Serena Williams, Petra Kvitova and Victoria Azarenka en route to her four major titles.

Ranked No. 51 in the world as of January 2025, Osaka is a former World No.1 in the WTA. Having started playing tennis at the age of 3 and turned pro when she was 16, Osaka is known to be one of the nicest people on tour. The Japanese sensation is being coached by Patrick Mouratoglou as of 2025.

Osaka began the 2025 season by competing at the 2025 Auckland Open after taking a hiatus break due to injury. Despite reaching the tournament final, she had to retire because of an abdominal injury thus giving a walkover to Clara Tauson.
