T20 World Cup 2024: Afghanistan Squad

Afghanistan have named a brilliant 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Led by the legendary Rashid Khan, once again Afghanistan’s fortunes will rely heavily on their spin department. And the Asian team boasts of ample ammunition in the form of Rashid, Noor Ahmed, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Mohammad Nabi.

The pace department has been the Achilles heel for Afghanistan in crunch moments. However, the likes of Fazalhaq Farooqi, Fareed Malik, and Naveen-ul-Haq have enough experience in their belt to lead the charge.

The batting-unit will be led by the explosive Rahmanullah Gurbaz at the top of the order, followed by the likes of Najibullah Zadran, Ibram Zadran, and Azmatullah Omarzai.

Afghanistan are drawn alongside co-hosts and former champions West Indies, former runners-up New Zealand, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea in Group C of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
