Perth Scorchers beat Hobart Hurricanes by 53 runs!
The Big Bash League continues to entertain us from nail-biting thrillers to one-sided contests, the appetite for drama does not go away as we witness one of the most celebrated cricket leagues in the world. That will be it from this encounter which Perth Scorchers have bossed throughout the day. So until next time, allow me, Anavit Naik alongside Navjeevan Rajput to take your leave. We will see you around!
Perth Scorchers have won 3 out of 3 matches and will go on top of the Points table while Hobart Hurricanes register their second loss of the season.
What an utterly dominating performance from the Scorchers! They have taken the way ahead and claimed 3 points in this match. Mitch Marsh was adjudged the player of the match and was rightly so since he was the difference between the two sides because even Scorchers were reeling at 79-4 at one stage. The chase got off to a terrible start as captain Wade departed after scoring a boundary while D'Arcy Short kept running out of partners from the opposite end. Ben McDermott scored useful runs but they did not place Hurricanes in a winning position as other batters did not step up for the occassion.
Tymal Mills was the chief tormentor with the ball as he claimed three crucial wickets in his 4 overs. Others chipped in regularly to finally bowl out Hurricanes for a paltry 129 with an entire over left.
Mitchell Marsh (Player of the match): "Yea we lost a few wickets early and it stemmed the flow. The way Evans batted it was great and later on I found it, in the end, it was great fun. I am going to checkout Tazi (Tazmania) a bit during these off days. We didn't start well last year as we were 0-5 and this time we have had a great start and I am glad that I have contributed."
