DeAndre Hopkins, a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, was born on June 6, 1992. He was originally drafted by the Houston Texans as the 27th pick in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. In his more than a decade-long NFL career, Hopkins has been named to five Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams. He was also the NFL receiving touchdown leader in 2017, which was also a franchise record for the Texans. As of January 2025, he has played in 178 games, recording 984 receptions for 12,965 receiving yards and 83 touchdowns, according to Pro Football Reference.

In his NFL rookie season, Hopkins was named to the PFWA All-Rookie team. He also set three franchise records for the most receiving touchdowns in a season (13) in 2017, the most receptions in a season (115) in 2018 and the most receiving yards in a playoff season (208) in 2019. However, in 2020, he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for David Johnson, among others. He was released by the Cardinals in May 2023 and signed by the Tennessee Titans in July of the same year. Then, in October 2024, he was traded once more, this time to the Kansas City Chiefs, for a 2025 fifth-round pick that would turn into a fourth-round pick if the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl and he plays 60% of the passes.
