Joseph "Joe" Mixon is an American football running back for the Houston Texans as of the 2024 NFL season. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with the 48th overall pick in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In March 2024, Mixon was traded to the Houston Texans. Over seven seasons with the Bengals, he played in 97 games, starting 88 of them, and recorded 1,571 carries for 6,412 rushing yards and 49 touchdowns according to Pro Football Reference. As of six games with the Houston Texans, Mixon has rushed for 609 yards, while scoring six touchdowns (via ESPN).

The Oakley, California, native went to Freedom High School and then played football and basketball.
