Upton Stout III is an American football cornerback for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, where he has played since 2022. Before joining the Hilltoppers, Stout spent two seasons with the North Texas Mean Green (2020-2021). He was among the 329 prospects invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. He measured 5'8.5" and 181 pounds, with a 30-inch arm length and 9-inch hand size. His 5.89 prospect grade projects him as an average backup or as a special teamer at the next level. His Next Gen Stats score of 65 puts him in the "average" category (via the NFL's official website).

Upton Stout is a native of Houston, Texas, and a North Shore Senior High School graduate. After high school, Stout committed to the University of North Texas (UNT) football program, where he played for 2 years. As a freshman, he played in eight games and had 35 tackles (24 solo) with three pass breakups. In 2021, he played in four games, had six tackles, and then redshirted before transferring to Western Kentucky University (WKU) in 2022. In three years with the Hilltoppers, he played in 33 games and had 125 tackles (77 solo), 11 pass breakups, 11 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks. In 2022, he was honored with the CFN Freshman All-American Honorable Mention, Conference USA Honorable Mention, and First-Team Defense All-Conference USA (2024). (via Kentucky Hilltoppers roster).
